A group exhibition showcases the work of Thai and international artists selected by Tristan Deschamps, the curator, to create a conversation with the specific site at The Shophouse 1527 – the space of intimacy, where one feels at home, safe, surrounded by the familiar, and unwatched by the other. The exhibition brings us to delve into our relationship with intimacy and what is familiar on different levels. The selected and site-specific works are to build the framework and structure to welcome the exchange, hosting a program of live-streamed talks, performances, and readings. 

This book includes reviews and interviews from the group exhibition ‘stricte intimité’, which leads us to become acquainted with each of the artworks within the show, with descriptions that take us to walk together to see the artworks in the exhibition ourselves through reviews. The last part is an interview with the curator about the origin of the project and the concept of each artwork, taking the readers to delve into two particular artworks and get to know the nine artists through short bios at the end.
